"What kind of church is GBC?"

We are a Baptist church in Greensboro, NC centered on the authority, sufficiency, and truthfulness of Scripture. We believe the Bible is the foundation for both Christian belief and Christian living, and that conviction shapes the life of our church in practical ways. This is especially evident in our commitment to expository preaching:

We work carefully through the biblical text, seeking to understand what it says, explain its meaning, and apply it to the Christian life. Our pastor, Dr. Brady Huneycutt, holds a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching and has served as our senior pastor since 2015.

As a Baptist church, we stand within a historic Baptist tradition that emphasizes the authority of Scripture, personal conversion, and a church made up of those who profess faith in Jesus. We believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the full deity and humanity of Christ, His substitutionary death on the cross and bodily resurrection, salvation by grace through faith rather than works, and the eternal security of believers. We are therefore more than a socially conservative congregation or a broadly evangelical church:

Our life together is centered on the teachings of Scripture, the gospel, discipleship, worship, evangelism, and growing together in faithful Christian living.
